is beetroot?
As kids most of us avoided this crunchy and juicy vegetable as the raw taste wasn’t too good to relish, but one thing we never knew was the enormous health benefits this vegetable had to offer. All thanks to the budding health consciousness among people that beetroots have got the much deserved appreciation by being an inseparable part of various delicacies. This little root vegetable is a powerhouse of nutrition and needs no introduction!
History of beetroot?
This little taproot vegetable is loaded with the goodness of nature and is a perfect mix of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Beetroot grows as a root of the beet plant and belongs to the Beta vulgaris species. Generally, the veggies of this species are mostly grown as edible root veggies, which are high on nutrition and low in carbs. There are majorly four types of beetroots: red beet, table beet, green beet and golden beet.
The history of beetroot dates back to 19th century, where it was used to give red wine a deep maroonish hue. Romans were the first ones to cultivate beetroot, since then it was used for multiple medicinal and cooking purposes. Traditionally, beetroot was used to extract sucrose for commercial purposes as it was the only vegetable with high sugar content.
In severe cases of Covid-19, a patient's oxygen levels can drop drastically. While you need to strengthen your immune system by drinking warm water and kadha, apart from following a healthy diet, it is also important for you to take care of your heart and lungs.

INGREDIENTS
1 beetroot
2 tomatoes
1 lemon
HOW TO MAKE BEETROOT SMOOTHIE?
Wash one beetroot and cut into small pieces. Deseed two tomatoes and cut them into pieces. Put the beetroot and tomato slices in a mixer and grind till you get a fine smoothie. Pour into a glass and add some lemon juice to it and stir.
Drink the beetroot smoothie twice daily.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DRINKING BEETROOT SMOOTHIE?
Beetroot smoothie is a highly anti-inflammatory drink and also reduces blood pressure naturally. It is also an excellent drink for athletes and helps boost immunity. Beetroots are a great source of fibre, folate (vitamin B9), manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. It helps improve blood flow as well.
