Virat Kohli will end up capturing more than any other captain in the history of the game, said Sanjay Bangar
Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar believes Indian captain Virat Kohli will break all captain's records, and will end up capturing more than any other cricket player in the history of the game.
• Virat Kohli is yet to win the ICC trophy under his captain
• Under Virat Kohli India have won 36 Test matches out of 61
• Under Kohli India has been the most consistent Test side for the past five years
Former India batsman Sanjay Bangar backs Virat Kohli to beat all captains' records. Apart from Virat Kohli being the most successful Tes captain in India, he will still win the ICC trophy. India led by Virat Kohli lost eight wickets against New Zealand in the recently concluded World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
Bangang, who worked with Team India until the 2019 World Cup, said Kohli would end up capturing more than any other cricket player in the history of the game.
“If, as leaders, you have the opportunity to really decide what the party culture is like and what the party achieves, then, in that case, all (the nominees) wanted to stand out. He is like Virat, I have no doubt that he will end up filming like any other captain in the history of the game, ”Barang said on Star Sports‘ Cricket Live. ''
Kohli, who was handed the reins in the final Test match against Australia in the 2014-15 tour, has led India to the 61st Test so far. Under Virat Kohli India have won 36 Test matches. At One Day International, Team India registered 65 wins in 95 games. Kohli captains the T20I team 45 times, while India has won 27 matches.
