WhatsApp will soon let users choose video quality before sharing
WhatsApp has started testing a new feature that allows users to share videos with high quality. The name of this feature is 'Video Upload Quality' and it is currently under construction, which is why it is not available to the public.
According to The Verge, this feature will be available to users in future updates. This new feature is currently being released as part of WhatsApp Android Beta version 2.21.14.6.In the next update, users will be able to choose video upload quality with one of 3 options, namely, Auto (recommended), Best Quality, and data saving.
In the case of auto, WhatsApp will find the best compression algorithm for that particular video. After that another feature is the best quality that allows WhatsApp to always send video using the best quality available.

There is also an option to save data enabled in Android settings and allows WhatsApp to compress videos before sending them. This new feature will help users as WhatsApp users currently do not have the option to select the quality of the videos before sharing them with their contacts.
According to The Verge, in other WhatsApp-related news, it has recently been reported that WhatsApp is testing a new privacy feature that allows users to send disappearing media if the recipient has seen the message.
