Check out WhatsApp's new feature for Android beta testers
If you send photos and videos using a single view, they can only be viewed once and notified when the recipient opens.
WhatsApp is releasing a new "View Once" mode for Android beta testers who delete photos and videos as soon as you watch and destroy them. The company's top executives Mark Zuckerberg and Will Cathcart have confirmed to WABetaInfo that the feature is coming to WhatsApp soon.
If you send photos and videos using a single view, they can only be viewed once and notified when the recipient opens.
If you disable read receipts, the recipient will still see if you have opened a photo or video set for viewing once, but you cannot see when the recipient opens yours.
In groups, you can see when other participants open expired photos or disable learning receipts.
The recipient may save the photo or video taking screenshots or video capture and WhatsApp will not notify you as there is no screenshot detection.
